BOGO tickets are available in store only from June 7 – June 27, 2024. Coupon is valid for 1 free event admission to the 2024 Giant BBQ Battle when presented at the event gate along with a paid adult admission. No cash value.

Saturday, June 22 – 11am to 9pm

Sorry, but due to the crowds and hot asphalt surface, pets are not permitted on the event site. Service animals are of course welcome with proper documentation.

Yes! This is a family-friendly event and there are lots of fun things for kids to do. BONUS: Children under 12 are FREE!!!

Yes! This year we are encouraging people to “Bike to the Battle” by offering free bike valet parking. See the event site map for the bike parking location.

All ticket sales are final, and the event is held rain or shine. You can use your ticket either day of the event weekend or gift it to a friend.

Yes indeed! Microbrews, wine, pre-prepared cocktails, sodas, lemonade and water will all be available for sale.

No, chairs are not allowed. This year we will have extra seating near our stages and dining areas.

Pets, outside food, coolers, glass bottles, personal chairs, skates, bikes and scooters are not permitted at the Giant BBQ Battle.

Literally (metric) tons of food and beverage samples will be given away free of charge. All sampling is while supplies last. There will be numerous sampling tents throughout the event site providing BBQ and grilled food samples along with all your favorite salty snacks, deserts, drinks and more.

While you can watch the teams cooking for certified judges throughout the weekend, DC Health Code doesn’t permit them to sell or sample to attendees. But some of the best BBQ restaurants in the country will be selling at the event, including some who are also competing!

Metro is by far the easiest way to get to the event. Closest stations are Smithsonian or Archives. This year we are also encouraging people to “Bike to the Battle” by offering free bike valet parking. See the event site map for the bike parking location. If you are driving, use 555 Pennsylvania Ave, NW as a navigational destination. We have compiled this list of parking garages near the event.
